I shared some of it last Sunday. Some others in the congregation wanted to hear it all so I have directed them to your blog. Thank you for your insight and it is good to know our neighbour. Thanks for being you.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01685499369487083890noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6512734048150861589.post-88572752624732896012014-05-27T12:26:41.819-07:002014-05-27T12:26:41.819-07:00Amen and amen.Amen and amen.Janicenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6512734048150861589.post-28728123431639604022014-05-26T09:47:17.021-07:002014-05-26T09:47:17.021-07:00Phil - thanks for your kind and encouraging words....Phil - thanks for your kind and encouraging words. It was a privilege to proclaim the good news at Ha Na's ordination (and I am grateful to have the good health to be able to do so).Ed Searcyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05893196406561385183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6512734048150861589.post-47937318709173414672014-05-25T16:41:24.828-07:002014-05-25T16:41:24.828-07:00I was at the ordination liturgy this morning in Na...I was at the ordination liturgy this morning in Nanaimo, not as a UCC member but as a friend to one of the candidates (Ha Na Park). I was ordained in the RC church and worked as a missionary for 8 years in Peru before I left ministry and began teaching in Toronto for 26 years. Your sermon was most refreshing and insightful - you delightfully deconstructed a well known parable to show how explosive it was (or in those times before explosives it would be cause to be crucified!) Your blog mentions that you are also dealing with multiple myeloma. I have two dear friends who are also dealing with this same disease, so through them I have a faint idea of your struggle. With this consideration, and knowing how for them it is sometimes a major effort just to get going in the morning, your sermon moves beyond excellent to extra-ordinary! blessings to you and you blessed so many this morning with your insights, humor and encouragement to believe in and accept transformation.Philhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12724098802076434357noreply@blogger.com
